Why Soundgasm Downloader
Soundgasm hosts audio through an embedded player that streams files from its servers. While the platform makes it easy to listen in the browser, there is no built-in download button or export feature on most pages. Users who want to keep a local copy of a recording for offline listening, archiving, or personal use are left inspecting page source or hunting for direct URLs manually.
Soundgasm Downloader is being designed to eliminate that friction. The extension will sit inside the browser toolbar, detect the audio source on any Soundgasm track page, and let you save the file to your machine in a single step. No copying links, no pasting into converter sites, and no guessing which file format the server returned.

How It Will Work
- Install the extension once it is released.
- Navigate to any Soundgasm user profile or individual track page.
- The extension icon will indicate that a downloadable audio source has been detected.
- Click the extension icon to open the popup interface.
- Review the detected track title and uploader information.
- Choose your preferred output format if multiple options are available.
- Click download and the audio file will be saved to your local machine.
- For profile pages with multiple tracks, select individual recordings or download all at once.
Expected Formats
- Input: Soundgasm hosted audio streams (typically MP3 or M4A served from the platform CDN)
- Output: MP3 or M4A, preserving the original quality of the hosted file
Exported files will be saved in standard formats compatible with most media players, phones, and audio editing tools.
